Lydd is a very popular circuit as it is both fast and run by a friendly and enthusiastic team. It has a very impressive bar/restaurant on site so could be an ideal venue for a corporate event and the trackside cafe is capable of serving hot and cold meals throughout the day.
Lydd runs dedicated test days for both owner/driver karts and minibikes and has a well-maintained fleet of karts for hire to the public. Grand Prix sprints, Endurance events or just arrive-and-drive are all run at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit.
How to find the circuit:
From London take the M20 to Junction 10. At the J10 roundabout turn right onto the dual carriageway towards Brenzett. Following the signs to Lydd Airport you will pick up the A2070, which is about 10 miles long. Follow this road until you arrive at a roundabout with a garage in front of you. Turn Left on to the A259 follow this road for a couple of miles and then turn right on to the B2075 to Lydd. You will pass a golf course on your left and then come to a hump back bridge. IMMEDIATELY after the bridge take the slip road to the left, go straight across the next roundabout and follow this road. Not long after the roundabout the road bears sharply right and a slip road goes straight ahead. Take the slip road ahead and you will pass some small cottages on your right and see the picturesque Dungeness Power station glowing on your left. At this point you may feel like you're about to reach the sea but after about a quarter mile you will see a bungalow on your right. Turn right here and follow the 'road' to the kart track.
