A nicely looked after outdoor venue that also has minimoto and paintball facilities on site. The karting is the usual mix of Grand Prix sprints and endurance racing as well as arrive-and-drive track time for those who just want to perfect their lap times.
How to find the circuit:
Stretton 2000 via the M1/M69
Turn off the M1/M69 at junction 21 and follow the A563 (South) ringroad heading to Oadby. Arriving in Oadby, take the second exit at the racecourse roundabout joining the A6. Take the left-hand slip road immediately on joining the A6 and proceed along until you reach a mini roundabout. Turn right onto Gartree Road. Stretton 2000 is situated about 2.5 miles along the road on the left-hand side signposted Leicester Airport.
Stretton 2000 via the A47 (Peterborough)
Travel along the A47 out of Leicester until you reach the village of Houghton-on-the-Hill. On entering the village turn left at the petrol station. Follow the road, which has a series of tight bends through the village. Drive to the end of the road and turn right at the T-junction. Stretton 2000 is situated about three-quaters of a mile along the road on the right-hand side signposted Leicester Airport.
