Warden Law is one of the ‘classic’ outdoor venues and should be on everyone’s list of circuits to race on. The track has been extended over the years to a full 1200 metres and boasts a billiard-table smooth surface and a wide range of challenging corners.
Only the weather will spoil your fun as this is Sunderland after all! Expect it to be a bit windy but on fine days it is THE place to race. It is also floodlit so the action goes on until 21:00hrs and the friendly staff are on hand to show you the ropes.
Quad bikes are available for hire and the venue also has a motorcycle scrambling track for owner/riders.
How to find the circuit:
From the A19 take the Durham Road southbound towards Houghton-Le-Spring and turn left at the petrol station. At the top of the road turn right into Hangman’s Lane and the track is just on your right.
