The venerable Pro-Kart has been around for some time now, but despite attempts to replace it the beast just fails to take it lying down! The premise behind the format is to keep things simple - take one indoor go kart that most drivers can handle, bolt on another engine and presto, 60mph!

For those wanting to take karting a bit more seriously but who don’t have the funds or the time for kart preparation then the European Pro-Kart Endurance Championship (EPEC) is by far the best run and best value for money series anywhere in the UK.

Forget about all those competitions offering higher speeds and bespoke karts; at the end of the day you’ll be paying a fortune for something that goes no faster than a Pro-Kart and for races that are only a fraction of the time of an EPEC event.
